Project Overview
CLIENT
Personal Project / Nicole and Jeff Bannerman
BRIEF
Capture an element of nature as a reminder of home.
CONCEPT
These works were commissioned for my sister and a friend who wanted to a bespoke artwork to reflect their respective home towns of Clifton Beach and Austinmer. There was a row of massive Radiator Pines that towered over our family home at Clifton Beach in Tassie. As kids were grew up scouring paddocks to collect cones for firewood. We have vivid memories of watching them crackle and glow among the red hot coals in an open fire on a cold winters night. Likewise, Austinmer beach and headlands are renowned for the towering Norfolk Pines. Along with the smell of fresh salty sea air the aroma from the pines permeates ones senses making your feel alive.
