CLIENT Virgin Australia Connect Peer Support Program
BRIEF This project involved the creation of a new logo, brand identity, marketing collateral (brochure, poster, card, presentation) and website to help launch and operate the Virgin Australia Connect Peer Support Program. The program needed to be separately branded from Virgin Australia to illustrate the independence of the program to facilitate connections. The Connect website www.connectpeersupport.org is currently in work. I worked under the mentorship of Sam Garrard an experienced Graphic Designer.
CONCEPT The logo design incorporates two overlapping rectangular speech markers to indicate the two way conversation. The word connect has 3 bars for the "E" to signify an eagle wings and pilot rank. There is a silhouette of an aircraft is placed within the "O". The bottom of the"T" is a semi colon the universal symbol of hope and represents a conversation that could have ended but did not. Company imagery could not be used so I sourced suitable stock imagery that represented the pilot target audience, selecting images that illustrating that there are challenges but importantly that they can be overcome with help from peers.
