BRIEF
Produce artistic works for local art show / competition
CONCEPT
Continuing on the journey of discovery along the water front, i started looking at what i could find on the rock shelves jutting and framing each headland between the curves the beach after beach along the coast. The lazy limpets caught my eye, imobileised in place, hugging the rock, to hang on in high tide, in crevices,, groups, somewhat linearly lined up. Their own form a oval ish shape with radiating patterns and tone of line and concentric circles, varied size and orientation. Common and numerous, ever present, thet are in constrast to the rare unique finds on the previous pages. But when you look closer they are kind of cool to look at in their own way, a cluster creation for the everyday, to always see and appreciate. Wish I had a night cam to see what they do after dark. In my imagination,as soon as the lights go out and the humans go home, they up and move about in a free and feeding frenzy fashion in constrast to their dormant day time stuck state.
